We have the pleasure of inviting you to yet another ball organized by the trailblazers of the Polish Ballroom scene—Mother Madlen and Mother Kamilla Revlon. The Future Ball, put together in cooperation with the Niebo Club Warsaw, will prove to be a spectacular event.
A ball is an extraordinary, dramatic event, during which participants battle across a plethora of categories to earn Grand Prizes. The event is a point of culmination for the ballroom community, and acts as a final showdown after long periods of preparation and training.
Let us enter a time machine and travel into the future, filled with endless possibilities. We would like to encourage audience members to dress up on-theme as well to celebrate this ball together.
Ballroom is said to have its origin in the 60s and 70s, created by Latinx and African-American trans women to be a safe space of expression for trans, queer, and BIPOC communities. Voguing is one of the elements of this culture, and is a part of ballroom since the 80s as one of the many categories. Ballroom and the art of voguing have become recognizable in the mainstream media thanks to Madonna’s music video to “Vogue” and such TV productions as “Pose” and “Legendary”.

✨European Runway OTA****// CORSETS: Certain art imagery portraying the future depicts altered human silhouettes wearing futuristic corsets. A loose corset may represent the rejection of strict societal norms, a tight corset may allude to the human spine becoming too weak to support the rest of the body. It is up to you to interpret the reason behind the corset and make your vision come to life on the catwalk, with a couture twist.
✨All American Runway OTA****// RECYCLING: The planet has reached its limit, there are no new things being produced. Utilize already existing items, materials, and elements to create an unforgettable ensemble.
✨Beginners Runway OTA****// LIGHT SOURCE: The sun, the stars, and certain organisms produce their own natural light. Humans have evolved to be their own sources of light. Create a beaming outfit that represents the light and shine on the runway.
✨BQ* Vogue Fem // NEON/UV: The sun doesn’t shine the way it used to—it produces ultraviolet radiation exclusively. Only by wearing neon colors can humanity resemble the world that used to be. Vogue down in the name of the sun in a neon look.
✨FF** Performance //HOLES AND LAYERS: There is less and less oxygen on planet earth. Some people have developed the ability of absorbing it through their skin. They need to wear clothing with as many holes as possible to breathe, but layer it to still protect themselves from the cold. Vogue in a layered ensemble with holes.
✨Hands Performance OTA ****//COSMIC GLASSES: Our eyes have become extra sensitive and need additional protection at all times. You are required to wear futuristic glasses.
✨Arms Control OTA**** //BALACLAVA/MASK: The new ice age is coming and earth is getting progressively colder. Put on an embellished balaclava or mask covering your face for this category.
✨Best Dressed Spectators OTA****//A LOOK FROM THE FUTURE: Creating visions of the future has always been an inspiration for designers to create new, innovative solutions. What is your vision of fashion in the future? What is the human kind going to be wearing? Create an outfit that encapsulates your unique vision of the future.
✨Designer’s Delight OTA****//THE DECONSTRUCTION OF FASHION: A unique look at fashion, innovative ideas, and a visionary approach to commonly known solutions. We expect to see new and fresh shapes, techniques, and materials. Show us how you interpret the deconstruction of fashion and don’t forget your moodboards.
✨Baby Vogue OTA**** //GRADIENT/HOLO: It has become possible and safe to inhabit other planets in the solar system. These planets glitter in a plethora of colors. Show us the planet you come from in a gradient effect or a holo outfit.
✨Face FF**,MF***,NB***** (3 trophies) // HOOD AND JEWELLERY: With constant fights for resources, it has become dangerous to be seen on planet earth. Walk in covered with a hood and reveal your gorgeous face, adorned and embellished with jewels. Make sure that the entire look is cohesive.

What are we gonna be using them for? To escape, to move around galaxies, to travel in time? Show us your vision of a vehicle from the future.
✨New Way OTA***//JUMPSUITS: You have been called to an intergalactic special forces unit that serves to protect the world. In order to be successful on your mission you need a special jumpsuit that does not constrain your movements.
✨Old Way OTA****//FUTURE IN OLD MOVIES: Show us how old movies depicted the future we are living now. Get inspired by movies from the past that touched on the topic of the future.

✨Butch/Transman/BQ Realness (3 trophies)//SCIENTIST: Technology and science are essential to maintain peace on earth. To preserve that peace you may never leave your laboratory, but what is it that you’re wearing?
✨Body Luscious/Models/Fitness (3 trophies)// CYBORG: There is a new kind of human species being developed: one that is fused as one with metal parts. Showcase the way you envision such creature.

Początki kultury ballroom są przypisywane na lata 60te i 70te ubiegłego wieku. Jest to bezpieczna przestrzeń stworzona na potrzeby osób trans, queer i BIPOC przez Afroamerykańskie i Latynoskie trans kobiety z Nowego Jorku. Voguing jest jednym z elementów kultury Ballroom i pojawił się w niej w latach 80tych jako jedna z wielu kategorii.
